Amlodipine is used for the treatment of high blood
pressure and angina (chest pain). It works to control blood
pressure and reduces the number of angina attacks by relaxing
blood vessels. Amlodipine is often used in combination with
other high blood pressure medications when blood pressure
control is not achieved with the use of one medication alone.
